These chairs are model #83-072/73 and are the Philadelphia Queen Anne chair. The set consists of a pair of arm chairs and 10 side chairs all in nice dark rich finish with high sheen and also have 22k gold gilded accents, originally done by Kindel when purchased new. This alone was a very expensive upgrade for these chairs. The chairs are copies of originals dating from 1760 and are made exactly how the original chairs were, as the side chairs being made of cherry and the arm chairs being made of Mahogany. They have hand-carved details, ball n claw feet, shell carvings and shaped slip seats. These chairs are approx. 10-15 years old and are in excellent clean original condition also boast high quality fabric that had a cost of over $125 per yard when new. The hand-carved crest rail, pierced splat, over-the-rail upholstery, and H stretcher create a beautiful dining room setting. This sturdy chair is also an appropriate choice for commercial use. 76-070 (sides) and 76-071 (arms) and is still in production by Kindel and can be seen on their website at Kindelfurniture.com. The original of this beautiful table is a sewing table made by the Seymours in Boston circa 1800 and is displayed in the McIntire Room. The rectangular top with canted corners is of Satinwood veneer and has an elaborate inlay around the border. The long tapered legs are reeded and turned and terminate with dainty solid brass casters. 	NEW Kindel Philadelphia Pie CrustTea Table This table features the uniquely American birdcage mechanism which joins the piecrust top to the shaft and allows the tabletop to either rotate freely, or be tilted up for easy and attractive storage against the wall. The legs represent the perfect S-curve of the times. Between 1985 and 1989, two closely related objects sold at Christie’s for prices in excess of $1,045,000 and again in 1995 for $1.6 million. Kindel’s reproduction is faithful to the original and requires 23 hours of hand carving to achieve the high level of ornamentation. Table available is in the Winterthur finish. This solid Mahogany Chippendale-style dressing table was originally made in Philadelphia in 1769 as a companion to a high chest of drawers. Kindel’s reproduction from the Winterthur Museum is made of Mahogany and reflects forty-three hours of precise hand carving to achieve the look of the original. This stunning example of rococo carving justifies the recognition of this dressing table as one of the great objects from Philadelphia’s Chippendale school of cabinetmakers.
